About Me!

Author Amelia Borer Playing Guitar

Hello! My name is Amelia and I am currently about to start my senior year of high school. At Deeply Rooted, I am learning to play electric guitar, practice singing, and attempting to write songs! My guitar’s name is Nico (from the Percy Jackson Series) and I have been learning to play for about three years now. I am an incredibly studious person and do not always find time to practice, but when I do, I always feel happy and accomplished! I love music, I have sung songs in the car all my life and my parents say that I soak up lyrics like a sponge. Learning guitar has been something that I have wanted to do for a long time and DRMS helped me start! This community is so incredibly welcoming and warm, and I am so happy that I have this opportunity to write for you all!

With this blog we hope to post pieces that inspire you to keep learning and to encourage you to learn new techniques and skills! We will generally be posting articles on a bi-weekly schedule and hope to cover some topics that you are curious about. If you have any suggestions on blog articles you'd like to see, feel free to leave them in the comments!
