Does my child need to play an instrument?

Nope! Lyric writers, melody hummers, and instrument players are all welcome. If your student plays, they're welcome to bring their instrument along.

Do they have to sing or perform in front of the group?

Sharing is part of the fun, but every student goes at their own pace. Halle keeps the room relaxed and encouraging so even shy writers feel comfortable.

Are the first two classes really free?

Yes! Come try it out on Tuesday, November 10, and Tuesday, November 17, with no strings attached.

What happens after the free classes?

Classes continue every Tuesday from 5:30-6:15 PM. Current DRMS students can add Songwriter Studio for a flat $120/month, and new students join for $40/class, billed monthly.

Will students get to share their songs?

Yes! Students share their work in class every week, and we're planning a special Songwriter Studio showcase down the road where they can perform their originals.

Can my child keep taking private lessons too?

Absolutely! Songwriter Studio pairs perfectly with private lessons on any instrument or voice.
